Leonardo? Michaelangelo? Donatello? Raphael?

Check out this turtle that was at the end of our lane today!

We decided that it must be in the military, with its camo shell on.

I think it is a snake undercover-posing as a turtle. That's the freakiest turtle head I have ever seen.
Travis, can you tell me what kind of turtle this is?

I total agree. I think turtles are just snakes with a shell. I can however, handle a turtle and not totally freek out. Since the shell slows them way down:) Now don't even think about putting a snake anywhere near me!!! I don't think I have ever seen a turtle like that.

Dude, that's a snapping turtle, I think?! They'll show up in our yard from time to time and you do NOT want to mess with them. To check, just wave a loooong twig in front of its face. If it is, you'll know.

I thought snapping turtles had a ridge down the middle of the shell. But, I am sure there are more than one kind of snapping turtle. The hook on the nose/mouth does look like a snapping turtle. Like I am some expert on turtles. LOL
