I took these on my way home from work tonight. I thought they were pretty cool!! The 2nd picture was taken from our subdivision. I'm not sure what's going on in it. It kinda looks like the clouds are vertical instead of horizontal. I was just waiting for them to start spinning and then I was heading for the basement. :)

I love these! The kids were worried about tornados, too. After the rain quit once last night (Shane had just gotten home SOAKED from a bike ride) I decided to go ahead and get my run in. Well, about 1/4 mile away from home, all the lightening, thundering, and blowing gave way to a massive downpour. And it had gotten pretty dark. My beloved got the car out and followed me the rest of the way home with his headlights on. Wet? Drenched. But hey, I was safe! :-) (If you don't count lightening!)
What cool pix. Maybe God was taking someone up in a whirlwind like Elijah and you got it on film! And I know you better than that, I doubt you were heading to the basement. As I recall sitting on your front porch watching a mighty big storm one night. :)

I drove under the 'cloud roll' in the first picture on my way home, and thought about stopping the car just so I could get out and look. I actually wondered if there was a big difference in the temp from one side of the 'roll' to the other... Cool pics.
With regard to Kathy's comment, though - if my 'beloved' had followed me in the rain instead of stopping to pick me up, there would have been a problem!!
